Nephrologists - Decatur, GA

"How ironic! There is a plaque in the office that says, "Top 10 Nephrologists in Atlanta in 2024" and Dr. Aakash Amin is at the top of the list. On 10OCT24 I went in for an appointment with Dr. Aakash Amin and he ordered some lab work. On 11OCT24, I received an email from Lab Quest with the results, which highlighted that there was a urinary tract infection. I called Dr. Aakash Amin's office to report the results and ask if they would order me to take any medication, and they told me they had not received the results yet, I asked them if they want me to send them the results and they said no, they would call me when they received them. I asked, so am I going to spend the whole weekend with the infection with no medication? They said yes. On 14OCT24, since they had not called me, I called the office and left a message on the answering machine, they never returned my call. On 15OCT24 I called again and left a message, they never returned my call. On 16OCT24 I called again and finally in the afternoon they called me to inform me that there was no infection, and that the potassium was extremely high. I should mention that due to the lack of answers I went to another doctor, I showed him the lab results and he prescribed treatment and told me that the results showed that the potassium was within the normal range, that he did not understand what had happened and why they had told me that it was out of range. If this is number one in Atlanta, what hope for those who are not on the top 10 list. It was a nightmare to have attended Georgia Nephrology and seen Dr. Aakash Amin "
