Hand Surgeons - Plantation, FL

"Maybe Dr. Ouellette is a good surgeon, maybe the best, I don't know, but I can't say that because it didn't get to the actual surgery. Here is my disappointment: I have a small finger cyst, I have an insurance, I want it to be surgically removed. I found my network hand surgeon. I made an appointment and have visit a doctor. Before I said what is my problem I ask them if my insurance will cover it. I have a specialty doctor visit co-pay $75. So doctor said I have to not worry about, it will be cover entirely. She took a look at my finger the most 5 minutes, and then I had a x-ray done. For some reason they did not charge my specialty co-pay at that day. Later, during the week somebody called to schedule appointment and representative said they will charge me $1000 extra out of my pocket, which I have to decline. After I received $500 bill for doctor diagnosis for 5 minutes. YES $100 per MINUTE! Part of my insurance covered part did not. I have to call to Baptist Health South Florida coordinator to discuss my billing problem, I did not have a success to do so. It is very disappointing, the name Baptist Health should reflect a honesty, not money making machine. I will skip this place if for some reason I want to go to doctors, I will look somewhere else. By the way my problem remains the same"

"Dr. Shenassa evaluated me for surgery and then performed it about a year later when I decided it was time. The problem is the office staff. They are incompetent."
