Endocrinologists - Ocala, FL

"Started new patient appointment with my referral from my primary care doctor lost on staff's desk. They didn't have my labwork, so I offered to get it from Quest portal. By the time I saw Dr., labs weren't in my chart. Doctor said the matter was out of his control (who does the staff work for?!). During my appointment, staff had difficulty downloading CGM data on shared platform with insulin pump. My labwork was scanned into the chart AFTER doctor dismissed me on the basis he could not review what he did not have. Doctor implied I was lying about my A1c, too. A week later staff still had not sent Prolia script to my insurance company's specialty pharmacy, costing me more money in a new calendar year with my insurance. Doctor's office did not return call to the answering service about this. A very bad experience for me needing a new endocrinologist, having moved from out of state. I have been a type 1 for 50 years, a thyroid cancer survivor, and osteoporosis patient. I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, HUMILIATED, AND RESENTFUL about my first appointment with Dr. Ramharrack. I will be cancelling my follow-up appointment and hope that this review serves as a warning to others based on my first AND LAST appointment. If it wasn't the support staff that was inadequate, need I mention the doctor was sullen, avoided eye contact, and was more interested in moving onto the next victim in the waiting room? In retrospect, I should have heeded warnings in prior reviews but gave this doctor the opportunity to make a very bad first impression on me. It will also be my last impression of him, because I will be cancelling future appointment(s)."
