General Practitioners - North Palm Beach, FL

"I have never written a review in my life, for anything. I am so absolutely amazed by what transpired today that I feel the need to do so now. I saw this provider multiple times over the last couple years and was always pleased with my service. She is not only the doctor, but she does all of her own booking and billing. She has answered calls and even called me outside business hours, and I have never waited more than a few minutes for my appointment. I always found her knowledgeable and pleasant. Until today… I saw her about six weeks ago and promptly afterwords received a bill for $122. I knew my insurance company covers the first $500 of my deductible and sometimes it takes a little while for that to get worked out so I was not overly concerned at first. I called the insurance company a couple of times but I confess I could not stay on hold long enough to reach somebody. Do not get me wrong, I do not allow outstanding debts to continue, I understand she provided a service and she deserves to be paid. Today however I received a call from her that I was unable to pick up due to it being during work hours. When I checked the voicemail later I heard a rather nasty message explaining that my bill was overdue and that she would be calling my place of employment next. When I promptly called her back trying to explain the insurance situation above, she dismissed my concerns stating that I owed her. So I called my insurance company tonight, waited the 45 minutes to speak to someone, and found out not only was she paid a month ago (she cashed the check) she actually overcharged outside of the contracted rate for my appointment… My insurance company was nice enough to call her while I waited, twice, to rectify the situation. Just as I thought all this was over, I received a frantic call from my mother. She apparently called my mother today as well and left a voicemail stating that she was calling as my doctor because my mother was listed as my emergency contact! My mother was absolutely terrified that something had happened to me. Her unprofessional behavior felt almost like she was a thug that I owed money to. I was expecting her to threaten to break my knee caps next. I will never step foot in this office again"
