General Practitioners - Lake City, FL

"Just moved to town, want to see a high rated doctor and found this guy. I called to make an appointment after finding him in my Aetna network as a provider. He will not even see you unless you agree to pay $1,650.00 for his "services" above and beyond anything your insurance will pay. I pay $15,000 a year in insurance, have a $3,000 deductible and hardly ever see a doctor. I just wanted a check up since I have not seen a doctor in years. I told the woman that answered the phone that $1650 is a month's salary and it is too expensive to pay for just a check up. She told me that she was sorry, I need to pay $1,650 even if I only want a single visit. Apparently what the insurance pays this doctor is not enough to satisfy his greed, or he is prejudiced against people that are not wealthy enough to throw down $1650 for a simple check up."
