"I’m really disappointed in this social worker. My primary care, Dr. Zhang sent me to see Deidra since she’s in the same office. I saw her 4 times and each appointment was the same where Deidra would repeat the same textbook sentence about the amygdala and a bear in the room. I asked her for ways to apply this to myself and how to help with my symptoms and she couldn’t help me with any, she would just repeat the same thing about my brain thinking there’s a bear in the room. I finally decided it wasn’t worth it to see her because she wasn’t even trying. I was having reimbursement issues with my insurance company and needed to get a copy of my records. When I got my records I couldn’t believe what Deidra had said! She claimed that we had worked on goals together and that I had completed some of the goals. We NEVER discussed goals and I surely did not accomplish or complete anything while working with her. How wrong of her to lie in my medical record!! So now my insurance company thinks I don’t need more appointments with someone because Deidra said I’m good to go. She never seemed interested or invested in me or helping patients or her job. It’s so sad that someone so uncaring and unskilled is in a position as hers. I would expect better from UChealth."
