General Practitioners - Santa Ana, CA

"Went bc my back hurt. It was on and off pain. I mainly wanted suggestions on why it hurt and what I could do to prevent/get rid of them. Dr. Was late a few minutes..no biggie, he's human. Got called in fairly quick. Dr. Didn't even turn to look at me/no questions asked and he said "you have an airborne virus." mind you I had taken my son. So he says "you're son must have brought something from school." My son is 5 yrs old and is healthy/no symptoms whatsoever. He was already prescribing me medicines and then, it seemed as if he had to remind himself that he needed to ask me questions and check me. He says "come I have to check you." He asked me a few questions. While I answered, I guess he didn't like my answers. For example, he asked/stated "your muscles feel sore here [legs]." I said not out of the ordinary. I work out: go running Thursdays and do cross-fit Mon,Wed,Fri. Go hiking/walking during lunch and sometimes on the weekend. He said "no. You get sore and doesn't have to do with your exercising. Just pay better attention to your body, you'll see."... "Have you been to Mexico?" I said yes, when I was little my parents would take me as they are from Mexico. "Well you have parasites so I'm prescribing you something for that. That's a very filthy place." Question/Answer by the Dr. Continued. In the end he prescribed medicine for parasites (has a million side effects such as yeast infection etc), ibuprofen 800 (the only prescription that made sense, antibiotics (something stronger than Amoxicillin, apparently, said pharmacist), inhaler (after forcing me to take some there at his office, practically forcing it down my throat), and said Vitamin C 1K mg 10 timed a day every day and B-Complex many a day as well. He swore vitamins work miracles. Oh, and the whole time he kept saying me and my husband were depressed and that my husband was suffering from erectile distinction. Dr. Has never met nor heard about my husband..erectile disfunction? Trust me...far from it. We are in our mid-20s. We do it just as often as your average couple in their mid-20s, with no problem. I went to pick up all the prescriptions from the front desk and asked the receptionist/nurse? "Dr. Seemed kind of odd to me. Does he normally prescribe this much?" she just looked at sort of in awe and confusely said "sssometimes.." i get a call later that day from Dr saying "you told my receptionist. I'm weird. Find yourself another Dr. Oh and when I asked for the name of "what I had" he said "don't worry too much about it. It's called different things. You'll start researching it and freak out..." Definitely switching Dr."
