"Beware. Dr. Salpeter fired my healthy 77 year mother (with dementia) when she fell and broke her hip bc we wouldn’t use her hospice (mission). She showed up at hospital 5 days after surgery to push hospice after we had already made the decision to do home health care (she even took a personal text laughing while she is in a patient/family meeting), and once my mother was released for home health care, she didn’t respond for 5 days to multiple requests from assisted living care team, family, and home health care for a higher dose of Tylenol (she had in the hospital) so the care team can manage her pain so she can participate in physical therapy, sleep without being agitated, and eat/drink without being in so much pain. 2 days later she fired my mother.
