"He was very attentive and patient. He started off by educating me on the problem, why it happens and how to prevent it in the future. Then he went over treatment and explained how that works. I really enjoyed his educational style and at the end he asked if I had any questions. This is what I've been looking for in a doctor."

"Dr. Heather Doherty was my PCP for several years and I deeply regret switching to her. First of all, I rarely ever received a response within 2 days for questions/concerns that I submitted via the portal. I typically did not receive a reply for over 5 days (and even if I called to leave a message, I still did not receive a reply for several days). On top of that, Dr. Doherty’s medical assistant, Samuel R., was EXTREMELY rude, continuously interrupted me, was condescending, and the list goes on. Essentially, his behavior was flat out deplorable. I submitted a formal complaint and NEVER heard from Dr. Doherty or anyone else!!! They could care less! Aside from this, I have also had a negative experience with several of Dr. Doherty’s staff, which have been discourteous, judgmental, and have major attitudes. Lastly, I do not feel Dr. Doherty was transparent during visits. One example is when I was merely supposed to have an annual routine exam and bloodwork. I find out later that she ordered certain blood tests that were not standard (which apparently insurance did not cover) and she billed it as something more than an annual exam (which I had to pay $500 out of pocket for!). I was never made aware of this until I was sent a bill in the mail from scripps. My biggest mistake was not switching doctors until just recently. Patients do not deserve to be treated like this and clearly Dr. Doherty and her staff have no regard for patients since they never even bothered to address any complaints or concerns that have been raised - period! Absolutely despicable!!! "
