"What stands out most when I think of my experience with Dr. James A Carter is his lack of concern and empathy. I did not find him to be very helpful, professional, or compassionate. For instance, he had a 15 minute phone call with his wife while I was sitting right across from him, in the middle of my appointment! (This only happened to me once but it really shouldn't have happened at all. At the time it made me feel disrespected and very uncomfortable.) He promised and reassured me he was committed to working with me long term (as in years) and said he would be there for me, but a month later abruptly terminated my treatment with no prior warning leaving me in a very difficult and unsafe situation that I would not wish upon anyone (which is why I decided to write this review). It's a really horrible experience to be abandoned by someone you truly believed would be there for you. :( If you are looking for quality care with a reliable, skilled, trustworthy, non-judgmental therapist then take your business elsewhere. I would not recommend Dr. Jim Carter; he ended up causing a lot more harm in my life than good. P.S. He may want to update his picture as he looks considerably different now in 2012. "

"Dr. Zohreh Kermani is an exceptional psychologist who has made a real difference in my life. From the very first session, her warm, insightful, and attentive presence made me feel safe, seen, and understood. She has a strong expertise in psychodynamic psychotherapy and skillfully helped me understand the patterns behind my struggles. She guided me toward greater self-awareness, healthier boundaries, and a stronger sense of confidence. Her approach is thoughtful, compassionate, and truly transformative. I especially appreciated how she helped me clarify my values, improve my relationships, and build lasting emotional resilience. Sessions with her feel collaborative and empowering. I highly recommend Dr. Kermani to anyone looking for high-quality, insightful therapy. She is skilled, kind, professional, and genuinely committed to her clients’ growth. Working with her has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my mental health."
