Primary Care Doctors - Fresno, CA

"Called today to schedule an appointment for my sons yearly physical. Was told it had to be after 8/14. I advised them that my insurance does not require a 365 day wait, and that it’s anytime within my plan year. The lady passed me off to another person without telling me. When I advised them what I was trying to do, and advised them on how my insurance plan works he started to yell at me about how their contract with the insurance is different and they only get paid if it’s every 12 months. (Not medi-cal but through my work) I advised him that wasn’t true, as I work for the insurance carrier and he got even more mad and started yelling telling me that if I don’t like it I can find another doctor and they don’t care if my son is able to be seen or not. I was going to just schedule the appointment for the next business day after the 12 month mark just to get it over with and when I asked what’s the latest they take appointments (3x) each time he told me what time they opened. I reworded my question several times and he didn’t answer each time. The office has always been dirty and the staff has their moments, sometimes they’re nice and friendly others it’s almost like they don’t want to be there. Cant say I blame them. The doctors never listen to any of the things I tell them when it comes to my son. They always prescribe the same allergy med that doesn’t work and won’t change it. If you have a choice I recommend avoiding at all costs."
