Interventional Cardiologists - Tempe, AZ

"My cardiologist determined I needed further assessment of my heart arteries and aortic valve. She sent me to Dr. Dan Sroaw. He spent time talking to me and explaining what was going on so I could understand. Very smart man. Answered all my questions. I went in for an angiogram thinking I would end up with a couple of stents. The procedure was a piece of cake. He was able to go through my wrist and had no problems. Then it got interesting. The tests that I had prior were not very helpful because I had a lot of plaque that could not be seen though. So, when he got in there and could actually see the arteries and aortic valve, he pulled out and we decided to meet with a open heart cardio thoracic surgeon and my cardiologist. (They are very awesome doctors in their own right.) From talking to me and getting to know me and my lifestyle Doc. Sraow suggested the valve replacement, and bypasses be done via open heart. So, we met with the surgeon and my cardiologist and determined that I become an inpatient and have it done as soon as scheduling would allow. That was a Friday afternoon, and by late Monday morning they were prepping me for surgery. All though open heart surgery is NOT a piece of cake, the whole thing went very well and my heart is better than in decades. I am very happy with Dr. Dan Sroaw, his office team, the outpatient team at Gilbert Mercy where the angiogram was done, and the the nurses and staff from the ICU and Cardiac care unit at Chandler Regional where the open heart was done."
