"I was admitted to the hospital with a third degree heart block and my case was assigned to Dr. Garg. It appeared he did a great job on the pacemaker surgery and I was released from the hospital the next day. Two days later I collapse and call Dr. Garg to ask him to check my pacemaker since it continually reports my heart beat and what it’s doing in response to his office via my phone. He says “some people just get dizzy but if you’re concerned we can talk at your follow up appointment”. My symptoms get worse and worse and by the time of my post surgery appointment I am so dizzy I can’t even walk from the car to his office without help from my friend. I clearly don’t look good and I beg him to check the pacemaker. He looks at it for less than 2 minutes tells me “well the pacemaker is beating so you should be fine. Drink more water” and sends me home with a follow up appointment 4 months later. My condition gets worse and worse and after calling him two more times and being dismissed I end up in the ER just two weeks after getting my pacemaker for chest pain and difficulty breathing. 6 weeks later after two more visits to the ER for symptoms I end up in the hospital for signs of stroke. There I finally get a cardiologist to look at the pacemaker programming and he figures out Dr. Garg programmed it with the wrong diagnosis which is why the ER couldn’t find a problem with it. I don’t know if he mixed me up with another patient or was just confused but the bad programming nearly gave me a stroke. I’m not upset Dr. Garg made a mistake, he’s human and it happens but he dismissed my concerns and calls 4 times and it nearly killed me. The entire vibe I got from him is he thinks he knows everything and he won’t listen if he thinks your being dramatic. Be careful getting care from Dr. Garg and always get another opinion."
