"My physician advised me to get a baseline colorectal screening. I’d never had one and was overdue. When I asked Dr. Venkatesh if I am a good candidate for the much less invasive Cologuard screening, he informed I am. He stated that it is the US Government who determines a procedure’s cost. He also stated, “What they don’t tell you,” (in Cologuard ads) is that if an issue is detected in the Cologuard screening, my insurance company will not pay for a colonoscopy—which is false. I confirmed this with my insurance representative. It was NO surprise that he erroneously assigned a diagnostic code to my office visit charge and refused to correct it when contacted directly by my insurance company. It’s almost as if he intentionally jammed me up because I refused to start with a full blown colonoscopy procedure. Bad form."
