Urologist - Chandler, AZ

"Dr. Byrne is a money hungry woman. I was referred to her by my primary care physician for a UTI which actually wasn’t. I wanted to see her the first time I needed to come back for a cystoscopy. She told me at that time that my urine sample showed blood and crystals in my urine. The cystoscopy showed red, swollen, bloody bladder. She then ordered a CAT scan. Which I went for a few days later. She also told me to come back the next week for a biopsy. This has been going on for a month. I don’t know if anyone can understand what it’s like being attached to your toilet for nearly a month bleeding and passing blood clots on a daily basis every 30 seconds. I was scheduled for my biopsy and to read the CAT scan readings on September 3. On September 1 I called because the blood was intense again and blood clots were numerous. I asked the receptionist to speak to the doctor as to what I could do. I called three times. I was told I could do a Tele call or come into the office. I said I was coming in on Friday but would like to talk to the doctor today. I was given only those two options. So I said “ oh, she only wants to do what she can get paid for? She doesn’t want to take care of her patients but just wants to collect the money.“ So I said if she does not plan to come to the phone I will find another doctor to have my records sent to. Money hungry witch who does not care about the patients just about the money. So if you have been bleeding and passing blood Clots for a month Don’t expect her to care about you."

"I had numerous problems after my HIFU surgery including being catheterized numerous times. I could not urinate properly after my catheters were removed. I was prescribed antibiotics, but they were never as long as my session with the cather. The final time he removed my catheter he said he did not know what else to do for me. He never did any bloodwork except to check my PSA. I finally ended up in the ER where they easily saw that I had a UTI. My HIFU was on 5/22/23 and my last ER visit was 8/19/23"

"My 19-year-old son has been referred from a heart specialist to a kidney specialist and now to a urologist to discuss a procedure or surgery. I was referred to Dr Heiland to be part of the medical team to find a solution to my son's condition. I called to make an appointment today and was told that only the patient can be at the appointment (due to Covid-19). They would not do a telemed appointment. All they would do is put me on speaker phone to listen in to an appointment. Ummm, no thank you. If that is the care, concern, and compassion you show up front, I don't trust your office with my child. Besides, if I am wearing a mask, and everyone else is wearing a mask, what is the problem? It sure seems acceptable EVERYWHERE else......"

"I visited Arizona State Urological Institute on 3/28 at about 9:53am for a 10am appointment and was treated so unprofessionally by the woman at the front desk that I left before seeing Dr. Hsu for a consult. When I arrived at the office I was rudely informed that it takes 15 minutes to complete new patient paperwork. I’m not sure what the point of this was as she did not ask if I would like to reschedule my appointment, so I can only presume she wanted to just let me know, which I kindly replied that this is the first time anyone mentioned it, and apologized. Next was when she asked for my ID and insurance card and I informed her that I only had an electronic insurance card. The scoff and eye roll could’ve been heard down the block. It was extremely unprofessional. I decided right there to cancel my appointment and leave. Thankfully there are many other options available that will likely provide more professionalism and respect, particularly considering the low bar that is set here. "
