I saw Dr Price for low back pain. He required that I walk in my underwear in front of him which I found odd and embarrassing. He commented, more than once, that I was obese, showed me my x-rays, and then dismissed me, telling me I needed a laminectomy on L5-S1 discs. I left that appointment and broke down in tears in my car. Never had I been so humiliated in my life but because I was in such pain I went ahead and had the surgery performed by Dr Price at St Joseph's hospital in Nashua, NH.  It was a failed back surgery. 
A year later I was at Lahey Clinic in Burlington having emergency surgery on my back. A Neurosurgeon there had to clean up the mess Price had made of my L5-S1 disc area. He described having to dig the nerves out from around my disc. No wonder I had been in such excruciating pain. Thank God he was able to repair my back. More important he was supportive, kind and understanding. 
Dr.Price is too old to learn new tricks, and from the brief time I had the misfortune of knowing him, I'm sure he has no insight into how mean and rude he is or how uncomfortable he made a young woman feel, (narcissists rarely do), but he made me feel really awful, even worse than the botched back surgery he performed on me. I'd like to remind Dr Price that I can lose weight but he can't lose ugly, which he is, both inside and out. 
Please beware when choosing a surgeon.
