Dr. Tyler Chancellor, DDS

I'll preface this by saying I recently changed dentists due to my employer's change in insurance carriers. I was with my last dentist for over 15 years. I originally called Aspen Dental to schedule a teeth cleaning. When I arrived, I was informed that as a new patient, they required a full x-ray workup for my records and to determine the type of cleaning I would need. After a panoramic x-ray, 18 bitewings, a full digital photographic rendering of my mouth, and aggressive poking of my gum tissue, I was diagnosed with periodontitis (i.e., gum inflammation) and presented with an estimate for over $3400 by the office "benefits councilor". They never did get around to cleaning my teeth. Since my plan doesn't cover anything out of network, I'll be going back to my former dentist and paying out of pocket. I'd give 0 stars, but 1 appears to be the minimum.
