After visiting Dr. Carlyle, I feel incredibly fortunate to have chosen him. I've had serious knee pain for the last few years and have been dreading what might be around the corner. My first surgery was forty years ago followed by reconstructive ACL surgery in 2004. Unfortunately, arthritis has gotten the best of my knees since then. First off, his clinic runs very efficiently and I was attended to within five minutes of arriving. As a new patient, I had filled out the questionnaire on-line the evening before so was just asked to check for accuracy. X-rays followed five minutes later and Dr. Carlyle walked in five minutes after that where he spent at least 30 minutes explaining what he saw on the x-rays, describing my options, and answering questions in a straight forward manner. He treated both knees with cortisone injections which did their magic within 36 hours and provided a good deal of relief. I should have done this earlier. Next off is a round of injections with Orthovisc which he said may provide some additional relief. I never felt pressured into accepting surgery as my ultimate solution (although I know that's most probably the case). I think the Orthovisc is going to buy me some time. I loved his sense of humor too. He made me feel much more at ease about this entire process. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that as he was departing he inquired into my wife's hand which was immobilized in a wrist band. He checked some pressure points to ask where it hurt - even though the appointment was for me. I am so impressed with this doctor - as was my wife. AWESOME experience !

He did my total knee replacement.  Awesome job.  Probably needing to go get the other one done.  Wouldn't even thing of having anyone but Dr. Carlyle.  Very clinical guy, but very professional.  I'm looking for a surgeon not a new buddy.
