Dr. Thomas E. Lapinski, D.M.D

On 2-16-17, I contacted the receptionist at Sussex Dental For an emergency appt. This request was based on the fact I was experiencing severe tooth pain since the night before. Although being a patient there for many years, the receptionist stated with the holiday coming up on Monday, the soonest I could see any dentist would be on Tuesday, 5 days later. She also stated if any cancellations occur, she would call me.
The next morning, I had to call another Dental practice(not associated with Sussex dental) They  understood the emergency and saw me within a few hours of my call and took care of the problem. On Tuesday morning I called to cancel my appointment and expressed my concerns with the idea they have; that its ok with waiting 5 days with extreme pain to see a dentist. I told them that I was terminating all services.
I waited, and no one from Sussex Dental ever called to apologize. I had to send a certified letter expressing what happened. I then got a letter from Dr. Lapinski.
He states to me that the receptionist told him I only wanted to see Dr. Lapinski and offered me an appointment with someone else and I refused  That is a total lie. I would have seen anybody  with pain I was having. Dr Lapinski also stated that he didn't understand why I didn't call him on Friday. It is unbelievable to me that he states this, since the receptionist told me she would call me if there was any cancellations. Dr Lapinski is totally covering for his receptionist  and practice. I have no ax to grind but strongly feel that Dr Lapinski and his staff were willfully neglectful in making me wait 5 days to see anyone.  Additionally, Dr Lapinski seems to think(based on his correspondence) that nothing wrong occurred here and takes no responsibility That is very alarming as well. 
It is up to the  receptionists whim in how they treat emergencies. If I would have waited 5 days like they wanted, I know I would had to be admitted in the hospital.
In this situation,Dr Lapinski took the word of his receptionist even though they were outright lies.  I feel that Dr. Lapinski and his staff at Sussex Dental were deceitful in how they handled the matter.
