My husband has been seeing Dr. Pastrana for the past two years as our previous MD retired.  One of the questions for new patients is whether you are a gun owner or not.  This question is understandable if you are treating patients with psychiatric issues and need proper meds, not patients who want to be seen for allergies and asthma.  Second issue is that my husband has asthma.  Dr. Pastrana refuses to put a 3-6 month refill on daily inhalers.  He places them on a 30 day making it next near impossible to get refills.  I'm constantly having to call their office, they tell me to call CVS and request through them, then I have to call CVS to find out if it's been approved, CVS then informs me that Dr. Pastrana hasn't responded, so it's back to me calling the office.  I have a son with asthma and I NEVER have to go through this runaround with just getting inhalers refilled!!  Final straw for us was that we received a letter addressed to the wrong address (old address) informing us that their office has tried to reach us and need us to call them.  Their office never tried to reach us, and they are sending their letter to an address that my husband never wrote on his intake forms.  Not even sure how they got our old address.  Needless to say we will be finding a new PCP.
