I can't understand the other reviews listed here. I became a patient of Dr. Steve Stoev in Feb. 2018, after several years with another medical provider. Yes, Dr Steve is very thorough and orders a lot of tests.  And thank goodness. Because one of them revealed that I had Stage 3A Non Small Cell Lung Cancer! The other provider I had used for almost 5 years gave me lots of blood tests and never once caught the NSCLC. Had it been caught earlier (or if I had switched to Dr. Steve earlier), maybe I wouldn't be in the frightening situation I now find myself.  Bedside manner?  Dr Steve couldn't have been more empathetic or concerned about how I was feeling.  His office staff was equally concerned and tried to make things as easy for me as possible by making my appointments for me with the specialists I needed to see or providing reports that I needed to have.  I just don't understand these other reviews. I can't say they are wrong or just nasty because I wasn't seeing this doctor at the time they are dated.  But as far as I'm concerned, Dr. Steve and his staff are absolutely the best in my book!

This was to be my 3rd physical exam from Dr. S. Stoev. A little back story, last year the doctor told me to have my blood work done at his office as an additional service they offered their patients. Big Mistake!! I received bills from the lab, when it should have been covered by my insurance. After many hours of back & forth with the insurance company and the lab it was determined that the doctor's staff had put in the wrong for the lab results, I called the doctors office and, they said sorry we will take care of it for you. I kept getting bills from the lab, and called the doctors office for the 3rd time and was assured they would take care of it. They did NOT take care of it and my lab account was turned over to collections. After spending 10+ hours with the 3 entities Doctor, Insurance, Lab. I paid the $200+ plus bill to avoid both negative info on my credit, and to not waste anymore time or frustration. As I stated earlier my appointment today was for 9AM, I arrive 10-15 minutes before my scheduled appointment. There was 1 other person in the waiting room, I was called back by the nurse at few minutes before 9 , and after weighing in and BP check was told the doctor would be right with me. In the exam the floor was filthy and covered with dust, visible dirt, and what looked like food crumbs. At a little after 9:30 I stepped out and told the person at the checkout desk that I had other commitments, and needed to leave, and asked her for a copy of my lab results. She stepped away , and returned telling me that the doctor was just about ready for me, and had blocked an hour for me why was I upset? She also refused to give me a copy of my lab results stating that they couldn't give them to me until the doctor reviewed them with me. Rather then argue with this person on the legalities of whom the results belonged to, I left and got my lab results online. I can honestly say that my interaction with this doctor and his staff has been the worst experience I have had with any medical office.
