Dr. Stephan Zehring, DO

I have been dealing with unexplainable symptoms and Dr. Zehring did everything he possibly could. He never dismissed me or my symptoms. He never rushed me and listened to every concern. I recommend him to anyone I can.

This report is within the context that Banner Health encourages the use of the patient portal for the sake of communications with the attending physician.  And it is [was] my understanding that the physician, too, was in agreement.  The upshot is I had no "questions". You decide: out of line?

Dear Doctor Zehring:
1. Attached in JPEG are images of my lungs taken Nov2022 along with a PDF of the radiologist’s report.
2. I am still coughing at approx the same frequency and with approx the same intensity as I have been for the past 4+ years, i.e., 2-3 times per hour lasting 5-10 min per event.  In some cases one event may last 20-30 minutes followed by 20-30 minutes of silence.
3. The moments between coughing episodes are absent of symptoms in most regiments: walking, working out, running, etc.  There is no coughing during my sleeping times.
4. For all intents and purposes the cough has become less productive.
5. Pain associated with this condition is evident in the evenings hours as a tearing pain in my airway(s).
6. Please effect a pulmonologist referral at your more practical convenience.
7. I have not gone thru with the colonoscopy.
8. Your comments & attention to this matter is appreciated.

I try to be very mindful and considerate of current situations with finances and people’s
 time. I also have to protect my time (and my family’s). I have a wife and 3 little ones at home
 and I often find that I spend up to 2 hours every day answering questions in the portal. That time means a lot to me because it often means I only get to tuck them in for bed. Sometimes I don’t
 get to see them at all. I would like to be able to answer your questions for you, but I think the office is probably the more appropriate setting.
