Right away, Dr. Bircea came off as extremely rude and judgmental. Upon our first consultation, he immediately diagnosed me with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder only a few minutes after we began. I was never diagnosed with either. He also accused me of being lazy and unaccomplished because I'm not in school and told me I needed to go into rehab. Upon mention of having dark thoughts in the past, he warned me that he would have me sent into a mental hospital. I highly do not recommend this doctor. I went to him because of the positive reviews I've seen on this website, but I did not receive that experience. He was extremely judgmental and didn't want to work with me, he just wanted to give me a cookie-cutter, redundant plan. To me, it felt like he viewed me as another source of income, as he quickly wrote me a prescription for antidepressants that I had no interest in taking. Truthfully, I left the office feeling worse than I did. I do /not/ recommend this doctor. Do not waste time, money or mental health on this sorry excuse for a doctor. He does /not/ care about you.
