She ordered a dangerous IV medicine for my child, entered the order wrong in the system and my child was given double doses of this med. my child could’ve died. Dr. French told us the nurses read the order wrong but I quickly found out that was a lie. Dr. French didn’t know her orders showed up on mychart and I was able to determine she wrote the order wrong. She went back in to epic and changed her original order to reflect the proper order but I have photos of the original orders, the iv bags doseage, the changed orders. My child had severe reaction to this overdose of medicine and now has panic attacks when getting care in hospitals. As a mom, I could never trust her. As a nurse, I’m saddened that this doctor blamed the nurses for her potentially deadly medicine error.
