Dr. Sima Christina Paul, M.D.

My child saw Dr. Paul over three weeks ago for an initial psychiatric evaluation after a physical revealed low self esteem, etc.  Upon walking into what was a conference room meant to house at least 15 people, cluttered and uninviting,  she didn't introduce herself.  She did not forecast expectations. She DID look at her phone often and had her laptop open the entire time as if she were using it to diagnose.  Highly unprofessional. Her tone clearly stated she was not in a patient mood.  She also ended each comment with "ya know".  If I hadn't researched her background I would have thought she was completely inexperienced with kids or people for that matter, mine being an introverted early teen.  Nothing was accomplished besides tears and frustration from my child. My child actually took back the ask for help and decided she didn't need help like this.... Dr. Paul said kids this age are egocentric.  Okay.... I know this as I have an adult child as well.. but what are we doing here and what are the next steps?  "You'll get a call to enroll in therapy".  Still waiting.  Good thing my child isn't completely suicidal.
