I went to her for marriage counseling with my husband because he didn't like any of the therapists I chose. I went for the sake of my marriage, but soon after beginning therapy, I observed her strong preference for my husband. He completely manipulated her. When I explained much of his bad behavior that went against the healthy relationship practices she taught us, she told me to "toughen up." He has a mental illness diagnosis and is on heavy-duty medication for it, but in therapy he insisted that I have a mental illness, even though I've never been diagnosed. He has a history of vindictive behavior, which I tried to explain to her, but instead of listening to me, she said I needed to bring my "best self" to therapy. Her inaction and bias towards him emboldened his skewed perspective and white male privilege. Very unprofessional. Never, ever going back
