Dr. Shane R. Claiborne, DDS

I had 4 fillings done by this doctor - 2 fell out by no fault of mine. The first one that fell out came out immediately after I left the office. I didn't know what it was as I had never had a cavity before - I thought maybe it was just something from the procedure. I called the next day when I was having pain and sensitivity and they said that was normal. I got an appointment to recheck when it didn't go away and it had come out. They fixed, but I was charged. I recently had another filling done. It stayed in for a while, but then fell out during a periodontal appointment. The periodontal office stated they would call Dr. Claiborne's office to let him know. I called the office to make an appointment to fix the filling. They said that Janelle would call me back to schedule and she never did after 2 days. I called back and she set the appointment to fix my filling. I went in on the the 23rd - waited half an hour. When I went back, the dental hygienist talked to me about my filling falling out and said that was normal for the location. I also told her that after I had this last filling, I had severe muscle pain in my cheek for days and had even developed an ulcer where he had injected me and she said that was also normal for the location. When Dr. Claiborne came to look at it, he said that there was no charge for the day but that I would have to schedule an appointment to have it fixed. I told him that was what the current appointment was for. He said, "Well I don't have time to do that today. I didn't even know what was wrong with it." No apology. Needless to say, I told them I would not be coming back for him to repair my filling. I was pleased with the routine dental work, but I would not recommend that he perform any procedures!!!!
