The midwife, "Ro", works at a Lansdale and Conshohocken locations. I've been at both locations due to poor organization had at the Conshohocken office. I originally called the Conshy location to get an IUD replaced per referral from my PCP. The nurse called me back (I later found out this was Ro's daughter) and told me they would be able to get my IUD pre-certified by my insurance and get me in for the replacement in one visit. I made an appointment a month out in order to ensure the IUD would be ordered and had arrived at the office. Mind you, I have been having horrible cramps as my original IUD was expiring thus, the localized hormones were becoming weaker. When I arrived for my appointment, Ro was unaware of any conversation I had had with her daughter/nurse and there was no IUD for my replacement! I had even taken off work to make this appointment and was SO disappointed.  I was also astonished at the state of this office. It did not look clean or professional and red flags were immediately going off in my gut but I wanted so badly for my IUD to be replaced and Ro assured me that they could get the pre-certification and get me into the Landsdale location that same week. TWO weeks later I had to call the Conshy office again to check on the status of my pre-certification. Finally, Ro called me an we scheduled an appointment. After driving 40 mins to get to the appointment (the office was MUCH cleaner and more professional) I had the IUD replaced. I will save you the gory details but this was the most painful experience I have EVER had and was not the first time I have had an IUD inserted so I was prepared for some pain but could hardly drive home afterword due to dizziness and tremendous pain! I have also experienced bleeding for almost 2 days now. I will not be going back to Ro and am seeking a follow up appointment with an OBGYN.
