Dr. Rebecka Raye Hoppins Campbell, N.D.

When I went in for my first appointment I left with a bag of supplements. The first appointment was 2 hours and we went over a lot.  Later that day as I was thinking over everything I felt like we rushed past a few things and wanted to double check the supplements.  Although our appointment was very long, she wasn’t good at explaining things in laymen terms.  Also, I’m currently breastfeeding and always double check what I’m taking.  I found that one of the supplements said on the bottle “do not take if lactating”.  I called right away, and the receptionist said she would tell Dr. Hoppins.  Later, I got a call from the receptionist saying that I could return it if it hadn’t been opened.  I was frustrated that I didn’t get an apology or an explanation but decided to give it another try since I had done my own research on the supplement and there weren’t any negative side effects to my baby.  However, my research showed the supplement could affect my milk supply, which we had discussed in the appointment.  I should have returned everything then and there.  A few days later I realized I missed looking at another one of the bottles that ALSO said, “do not take if lactating”. I called and again the receptionist is the only person I talked to.  No apology, no explanation.  This has been the worst experience with a doctor I’ve ever had.  She obviously did not do any extra research into what she gave me.  She also obviously didn’t care enough to call me herself and explain.  I had to do the research myself to make sure my baby would be ok.  I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone and wish I could give her 0 stars.
