Dr. Paul M. Matiaco, DO

After struggling for more than 10 months of being pushed back and forth between Orthopedics and Neurology Specialists and the tremendous wait to see them and get tests and procedures done put me in a crisis of trying to figure out what is going on. I was very thankful for my appointment Dr. Paul Matiaco. He comes in the room and truly listens and focused to what was going on. He took great concern, when I had explained that my condition and pain was getting progressively worse over the last 1.5 months (which I had also communicated with my other teams). Dr. Matiaco looked and saw I was missing some basic X-rays and order other labs to see what was going on. The labs returned concerns which he has advised treatment and referral. Yes, it is complicated but, I feel Dr. Matiaco is trying to get to the bottom of the issue for my best health plan. I am grateful for him spearheading and trying to get answers so a full treatment plan can be put in place.

It seems a bit of an oxymoron to ask in the survey if you saw the doctor within 15 minutes of your appointment and then next questions asking if the doctor spent enough time with you, answered all your questions, etc. I have no problem waiting my turn to see a doctor that spends quality time with me. If you start requiring a doctor to see every patient within 15 minutes of their scheduled appointment, then you defeat the initiative to have caring and personable doctors. I won't change a thing about Dr. Matiaco! I love his bedside manner, his diligence in looking over my chart records, and his no rush attitude that he has to shove me out the door to go see another patient! This was a "new patient" visit for me with this doctor. It is SO REFRESHING to have a "young doctor" be more "old fashion" in his style. You've got a good one here Kadlec-hang onto him and don't mess with his style!!

The doctor did acknowledge peeing a bit late and starting the appointment, but was a reassurance that he would take the time that I needed as well. Getting the appointment was a challenge, simply because it was an establish care appointment. The doctor continued to renew my medication's on file while I waited the appointment to establish care. Because of bad weather, I had canceled my initial consultation for establishing care. So I was scheduled another consult I was contacted recently that they were able to get me in sooner. Possibly because I had so many prescription questions. I am very pleased with the care that I receive from Kadlec.

The actual clinic was nice in great location near my home but the Dr was very inexperienced, disheveled, unkempt, clumsy, inept at his job, no too professional or capable, the most incapable dr I've ever known. He was nice and seemed to try to help but I didn't feel I was in capable hands.. He kept looking at my body making me uncomfortable. Id like to see a woman dr at that clinic but none are available. He wasn't rude at all just didn't know what he's doing. I should be able to see a woman dr w experience at that clinic. I've waited over 2.5 years to see a dr at that clinic only to be put in w someone incompetent.

This appointment was to establish with Dr. Matiaco. He made me feel like he had time to spend with me and he asked follow up questions to my past health and test I had. He mentioned a CT I had done 2 years ago and asked what I had done about the masses on my ovaries. I had no knowledge of this and no doctor had EVER mentioned this to me. Luckily he ordered an ultrasound and I was able to get in that afternoon and thank God the results reveled cysts and not cancer. I could not imagine having cancer and for 2 years no onehad even addressed this CT scan! Thank you Dr. Matiaco for being so thorough!

This visit was to get established as a new patient. I was extremely happy with the practice location. The facility is nice. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Answered all of my questions Including ones about My Chart. The waiting area was clean and quiet. This was my first visit with Dr. Matiaco. I hadn't seen a provider in a number of years. He didn't lecture or judge. Was very kind and got me back on track to routine health maintenance. I found that he did speak a little fast at times. I had a follow up virtual visit and that wasn't an issue. Overall, extremely happy with the clinic.

I have always received timely, honest, respectful, professional care with Dr. Matiaco. I have seen this provider since he was associated with the Residency Clinic and have chosen to follow him as he practices privately at the Kadlec Clinic. As a geriatric patient, I truly appreciate the care he takes to listen to all of my concerns. I do not feel "overlooked" or "dismissed"; as I have felt with other providers in the past. I intend to continue to see Dr. Matiaco for all of my health concerns.

The West Richland clinic has always been very friendly and accommodating. I have been waiting for 3 months to see the new Dr, and while he was very nice, I didn't feel like he listened to me at all, and spent most of the appointment talking at me instead of with me about my concerns. This was my initial appointment with him and that was quite a turn off. It is very frustrating especially because it is so incredibly difficult to get in with a provider in a timely manner.

This exam was originally just a follow up on some blood work I had done. But when I mentioned I was feeling stressed enough that I was worried about an oral surgery scheduled for the next week, he took the time to listen and then prescribe something that would help relax me for the oral surgery. He went way above what was expected! I truly appreciated him for his time and understanding.
