Dr. Jaskowiak is known as the best surgical oncology doctor in Chicago. She performed my single mastectomy in February 2021and I now check in with her after an annual mammogram (late for 2023!) I chose her and UChicago after talking with the top doc at Northwestern and while she was excellent, too, the care team and overall approach made UChicago a standout, making it worth the trip from the city's northwest side. Dr J as she is fondly called, is also beloved by her team. She has excellent bedside manner and takes all the time you need to explain your diagnosis and options. You couldn't ask for better care. Tip: try to schedule your visit first thing in the morning. Because the team gives every patient the time they need, they often run behind.
