This is a dentist office who can get you in very quickly for an appointment (that should have been my first red flag in the highly populated West Plano area). My appointment was for a routine cleaning, and my last visit had been 6 months prior at my old dentist, so I was not worried about anything being out of the ordinary. I have never had a cavity before and overall have good teeth.  The only reason I came to West Plano dental is because I'm recently over the age of 22, so I am no longer covered in my parents' dental insurance and therefore couldn't use my trusty old dentist. 

My appointment at West Plano took FOREVER. I was the first/second appointment of the day and yet it took over 1.5 hours to then NOT EVEN GET THE REGULAR CLEANING. First, they wanted to take X-rays which is fine, but they needed three separate people to try and take my X-rays (no one has ever struggled to take them in the past...) Then, I was waiting around for forever. Finally, the dentist came in (never met with a hygienist, which again, red flag) and told me that I basically had mild/severe gum disease and that she couldn't do a regular cleaning because it would only make my gums worse. I HAD to do some out-of-service deep cleaning that cost $1000+. I denied like 3 separate parts of the charges and it came down to like a $400 gum deep-clean.  I wish I could tell you all that I didn't pay that but I was naïve and they do a GREAT job of making you feel rushed into the decision/ scare you into doing it right away. I also was leaving to travel for my new job for the next two months and wouldn't have time for another appointment. So, I paid the 400 for the deep clean, jokes on me because that "deep clean" took probably 10 minutes. 

Then, when I was leaving, they scheduled me for two more appointments, 3 months apart. And said they would email me my receipt, but they never did, even after I followed up with them! Absolute scam of a business.
