Exceptional care provider: answered my questions, explained my symptoms as related to the diagnosis, gave clear instructions for self-care, emphasizing scenarios that required seeking help/going to the ER. Referred me for a CT scan and an Otolaryngology appointment. When I called for these appointments Dr. Richter had already spoken to these services and they were expecting my call. He called me with the CT scan results. Dr. Richter gave me factual information and then went on to explain what was needed next and what I could expect next from my parotid gland infection. He was patient but thorough and that was very reassuring. 5*

I enjoy having Dr. Richter as my primary physician. An example of the kind of experience I have with Dr Richter happened during my first visit with him when I discussed a swelling condition in my ankle. An ankle that had been surgically repaired by another physician. I had complained to the doctor who did the surgery and he said it wasn't anything to worry about. When I talked with Dr. Richter, he gave me information about why it was happening, and it was nothing to worry about. I appreciated the fact that Dr. Richter took the time to explain what was happening so I could stop worrying about it.

It was my first visit with Dr.Richter. I came in for an annual physical. Dr.Richter was well prepared and read through my past medical history. He answered all my questions clearly and in a way that I could understand them. He was courteous, professional and sincere. This was one of my favorite doctor visits in a long time. In addition, the reception staff, including the person that scheduled my appointment, were all very helpful and professional. I have already shared my wonderful experience with many family members and friends.

Dr. Richter shows true empathy and honestly listens to me as a patient. He is thoughtful in questions, responses, and creates an incredibly open, safe, and comfortable environment to discuss wellbeing. I'm incredibly confident in his ability to identify and address health concerns, and fully trust him with any questions I have. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Richter to others. I am in the healthcare field and am extremely impressed with Swedish as an outstanding delivery system. Your processes are well designed and best practices, and the dedicated staff, physicians, and clinical team clearly prioritize following those procedures to provide optimal and timely care. I am especially impressed by and very appreciative of Dr. Richter. He is an outstanding Internist and combines a deep knowledge of medicine with great communication and "bedside" skills.

Dr. Richter is a good listener. He listened closely to my assumptions about my condition that I had initially 20+ years ago. He then provided a very insightful diagnosis about what I actually have now, since the science had progressed significantly since then. His treatment improved my condition by 90% in the first week alone. Combined with some PT from another provider, I'm feeling like I'm on my way to a complete recovery -- and peace of mind.

Dr Richter is a gem - he practices what he preaches about healthcare and while I was nervous about being seen as a hypochondriac or malingerer, he listened to every single thing I had to say, and has apprised himself beforehand of my previous visit to him. I had brought my partner with me to the visit because of my own anxiety, but afterwards my partner said, "I see why you like him - he heard everything you said and didn't talk down to you.

DR RICHTER WAS A GREAT LISTENER AND EXPLAINED THINGS WELL. HE IS PERSONAL AND MADE ME COMFORTABLE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS. IT DID TAKE ALMOST A MONTH TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE, BUT DR RICHTER TOLD ME TO CALL THE OFFICE IN THE FUTURE IF I NEEDED TO BE SEEN BEFORE AN APPOINTMENT IS AVAILABLE, WHICH I WILL DO NEXT TIME. AS A BACKUP, I HAD A VIRTUAL APPOINTMENT WITH A PA TO GET CARE PRIOR TO MY ONLINE SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT.

I commend my care provider for taking the time to explain clearly to me the implications of my toe fracture and explain how to buy cost-effective splints. He was reassuring and kind and advised me carefully. I appreciate too the helpful and friendly manner of the care coordination staff who helped me get an appointment as quickly as possible, though it was not until the day after I called to request one.

Dr. Richter is probably the best provider I could've asked for. Having moved here recently, he made sure I felt welcomed and most importantly heard. I can't wait to have him as my PCP going forward! I was in and out of this appointment within 45 mins, including my ECG, labs and meeting the doctor. I would highly recommend this clinic to everyone
