Mrs. Meri Melodie Shanahan, APRN

Apparent from the reviews, this place has been on a rapid decline and my experience has been no different. I first visited the clinic months ago and had a different NP than the last two times. He was incredibly pleasant. All of the front desk is pleasant as well. However, I started seeing this current NP named Meri Melodie and it has honestly just been terrible.

I had a baby on 2/2 and came in at the beginning of May for headaches I have been fighting since I was 12. I knew there was not much they could do but I was expecting at least a referral or any show of concern period would have been nice. I explained to her that it is a pulsing on one side of the back of my head, that I have vertigo with these that is getting more present as I age, etc. She came in and said "My name is Melodie, how can I help ya" and like slumps down. I explain everything to her and told her that people have said to look into vestibular migraines and that when I did, all of the symptoms made total sense.

She said "you know what else those symptoms have in common? Stress headaches." And I told her I was not stressed and then continued to explain I have had stress headaches and they do not present the same at all (which today, and ENT doctor confirmed... this is not one of those "I know everything" situations). Anyway, she said they usually start with bloodwork so I had it drawn (TWICE).

Then I came back in this morning and she went over my levels and said "anything else?" I went on to ask which foods could help with my high cholesterol and she explained. Then asked anything else again. MIND YOU- I literally only made the two appointments to treat these migraines. She then goes "Oh yeah, how are your headaches?" I said "Well I haven't had one since I was here last (just a few days ago), but I have had them since I was 12 so they aren't going anywhere." She completely disregarded everything and said "Okay, anything else?" So at this point I just laughed and said no and left.

Later today, a few hours later, I went to an ENT which is where people were telling me to go. I said ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about a vestibular migraine to this man and he had me diagnosed within maybe 10-15 minutes and had me referred to a neuro to treat it.................... I cannot explain to you how livid I am. They push medicine and then could not care absolutely less about you or your well being beyond that. It seems as though they just want paid and don't care. By they I mean Meri Melodie.... but regardless, please RUN!!!!
