Dr. Maya S. Ruetschi, MD

In 2002 at age 51, I went for a midface lift with Dr. Reutschi.  She  insisted I have a lower bleph stating that she couldn't get good results without it.
My eyes were just fine...in fact my best feature! I allowed her to talk me into it. The she suggested a peel under my eyes as well. I resisted but she insisted saying she would only do a light TCA peel i emphatically stated iI wanted NO Phenol she promised me she would only do a light TCA peel. 
 As I was being wheeled into surgery a nurse came to me for a signature  which of course I signed as I was already on  wheels to the operating theatre.
Unbeknownst to me she had slipped in that i would be having a PHENOL peel on my  eyes.
She ruined my eyes and I had to walk around with sunglasses for a year because she had burned them and hollowed them out. She violated my trust in her and I had no recourse because I had unknowingly signed the consent. When I confronted her she just laughed it off saying I would be thanking her a year later.
 Stay away from this woman. Ten years later I still have to have fat transfers in my lower eye and have dry eye syndrome due to the ectropion.
