It’s bad when you’re worried the dentist is drilling the wrong tooth. I had a cavity filled by Dr. Roggensack in January. He barely introduced himself to me and said maybe two words to me the entire time until he cut my lip with one of his instruments. I just found out today, in May, that the January procedure killed the nerve of the tooth he worked on. When I met with them today to discuss two aching teeth, they gave me an X-Ray, said that I might need a root canal, and that we could either do part today and part another time or all of it another time. I was in pretty bad pain and opted to do the operation today. Once I confirmed that, he did not go over what he was doing or why, he did not talk to me (even referring to me in the 3rd person to his assistant speculating on what I might want instead of asking me). Once he was done, he said they didn’t know when they could do the next step. I had to stop his assistant from walking me to the front to have her explain to me what they did, show me the X-Rays, what caused it (the previous operation apparently), and she also explained that there would be more serious procedures coming in the next weeks. I had also mentioned that I had sensitivity in another tooth but they refused to do anything more than put something cold on it and say “oh I guess there’s maybe something wrong” but would not do anything more to diagnose or even help. I had to call the office after the fact to ask what I had to do until the next appointment (which was not explained to me until I asked them and they apparently didn’t even make a note that another tooth needed to be checked out) and they still can’t tell me if I have to pay anything out of pocket. It was the worst dentist experience of my life. The staff was lovely, but I have no trust in Dr. Roggensack. For the sake of your teeth’s health, avoid him if at all possible.
