Dr. Mathew S. Ausmus, DDS

Dr. Ausmus was not kind to my child. My child refuses to go back to see him, and left very frightened. He did not have good bedside manner, and he was incredibly judgmental, accused myself of not taking care of my child's teeth better, without consulting my child's dental records to show that my child has weakened enamel due to a genetic condition. Dr. Ausmus was very abrasive, and very pushy. He made assumptions about our medical coverage, and even made the comment, "Well don't you have medicaid? Just have medicaid pay for it." when putting in an order for over $3,000 worth of unnecessary dental work, including capping the front teeth (which have very minimal damage) of my child, who will be losing those teeth within the next year, which was determined by two other dentists when I felt something about Dr. Ausmus seemed off, and decided to seek a second and third opinion as to not end up with just two conflicting opinions given. 

I would not recommend Dr. Ausmus for any families who have other choices. He would be a last resort, or someone we would only go back to in an emergency situation if no one else were available.
