Dr. Mark S. Sofair-Fisch, PHD

My husband and I saw Dr. Mark for five months.  He is always very professional and knowledgeable.  We enjoyed all our visits with him and found that he was very helpful in keeping our relationship happy and healthy and also giving us advice on keeping it that way in the future as well.  He always returns call promptly and I feel that he really cares about us as a couple.  I have also recommended friends to him as well.  I would only refer a provider that was beneficial to me in the hopes that he can also help others that may be struggling with a difficult time in their lives.  

Dr. Mark has worked with my family for over a year and has helped us move from surviving as individuals to thriving in life.  When I (we) started working with him, I knew he was the "real deal" and this time it would finally be different after over a decade of various marriage and family counselors.  
Dr. Mark has wisdom and professional knowledge that can break though all of the nonsense and get to the really important things in life (feeling loved, connected, trusted, and fulfilled in life's relationships).  
I was impressed by Dr. Mark's responsiveness, such as calling prior to sessions to touch base and be fully prepared to maximize our working time with him.  I will always feel that the welfare of my family and I matter to him, not only as a professional, but as a fellow human being.  
I would absolutely recommend Dr. Mark for individuals, relationships, and families.  He may have you look closely and honestly at yourself, your feelings, and your habits in relationships, which can be tough work, but he'll provide support, kindness, and sometimes even welcomed humor along the way.    Dr. Mark reminds me of the people whom you meet and think, "Yeah, they're doing exactly what they're meant to be doing in this world."

Dr. Mark is the most caring and compassionate professional I have had the good fortune to receive his guidance. Dr. Mark showed me how to manage a new course in my life. He is a good listener and offers good advice. I continue to see him even now when things get a little grey in my life. Due to his help I found out it's ok to become a new person. I can't thank him enough and there are no words that I can Express but to say thank you to him which seem not to be enough. I recommend him to anyone who needs his help and I thank the person who sent me to him. He personifies the true meaning of a psychologist who helps. God bless him and bless him for instilling the skills to help his patients.

In the beginning, Dr. Mark just seemed very friendly. Well, he was always friendly, but his behavior towards me eventually became very uncomfortable. From the beginning he was complimentary. I was a bit hypomanic, so initially didn't mind. But over time his compliments became way too frequent, odd and eventually disturbing. I talked about that with my husband and psychiatrist. They told me to discuss this with Dr. Mark, so I did. It was to no avail. He continued. Sometimes I counted six compliments in a session. I actually have a good self-esteem, so it wasn't as if he thought I needed all that adulation. I have never experienced such adulation in my life! It became too uncomfortable, so I quit him. Beyond that, I didn't receive any valuable counseling.
