Dr. D’Arcangelo shouldn’t be called a doctor at all. She completely disregarded my symptoms because I wasn’t experiencing them at the exact time of my appointment. She was unable to answer any of my questions, and I barely had the chance to ask questions because she seemed so eager to leave the appointment. I asked a question about a urinary issue and she responded with “I don’t know”. UTIs are one of the most simple conditions and she should have been able to answer my question. She was very concerned about school, and that’s about it. My case is quite complicated but that shouldn’t mean I get treated unfairly. As I left the appointment, she had said “I hope this all gets figured out! Good luck!”. A good doctor would have said “I will figure this out for you” or “We’ll figure it out!”. I’ve had many terrible doctors who haven’t listened to me before, but she was, by far, the worst. She spent no more than ten minutes with me, and when she was “performing” an abdominal exam, she honestly just poked my stomach once or twice, and barely listened to my breathing or heart rate. I had mentioned my hands were shaking periodically, she made me hold them up, and then said “Oh, well you seem to be pretty stable...?” Her examinations were not in depth nor were they helpful towards a diagnosis. She is a terrible doctor and shouldn’t be allowed to practice anymore. I would strongly advise you to steer clear of her if you need to see a pediatric endocrinologist. There are much better physicians out there.
