Dr. Carney is the worst doctor (or "doctor") I have ever been to! I made an appointment with "Dr." Carney because of a recent resurgence of anxiety/panic attacks, I chose this "Dr." because she was "in-network" (and close to home) and I haven't had a primary care physician in a few years. I did not like that I had an appointment at 2:00 pm, and "Dr." Carney didn't see me until almost 2:40. I did not like that when the "Dr." finally came to see me, she had an assistant with her, (this assistant sat in front of a computer and typed in everything that was said by me and the "Dr."...I thought confidential information was, well, confidential). I really did not enjoy her bedside manner, she was very condescending to me right off the bat, because apparently I was supposed to get new blood work done (I had had blood work done a month before the appointment, I told her assistant where and when I had it done and she took down all the contact information needed for the results to be transferred, but told me nothing about new blood work). "Dr." Carney immediately asked me how often I ate meat (and what kind), "used" caffeine (I drink one cup of coffee most mornings and then no caffeine the rest of the day), and consumed alcohol. After I told her that I do, in fact, consume all three in moderation, she not only continued to speak to me as though I were an idiot, she began to talk as if she was a parole officer. After suggesting I read a book (that she happened to have for sale) involving a plant based diet and interrogating me further after telling her that I would hold off on the book, she accused me of drug seeking behavior! She asked me if I was more interested in obtaining drugs than changing to a plant based lifestyle, I told her that I really don't enjoy taking anxiety medication, but I like having them just in case of a severe panic attack. I don't mind exercising more, and limiting caffeine (both of which I have already been doing) to control my anxiety, but I would like to have something that could help in the meantime. After being berated for about a half hour, the "Dr." listened to my heart with a stethoscope and let me go. Seeing "Dr." Carney was a total waste of time and money ($150), I even took half the day off to go see her. Silly me, thinking I could go to a doctor to get help, boy was I wrong.
