Ms. Linda A. Hochfeld, MA.LCPC

My wife and I were ordered to attend CO-PARENTING counselling Ms. Hochfeld chose to keep our counselling separate as my wife claims spousal abuse. We met individually with Ms. Hochfeld to discuss best parenting practices. Not once were my wife and I in a meeting together. After weeks of affective counselling on how to co-parent and how to communicate while sharing custody, Ms. Hochfeld also recommended on behalf of our 10 month old daughter, that both my wife AND I be tested for use of controlled substances. This recommendation was secondary to the affidavits and evidence on which the Lake County Courts Judiciary based their emergency order for said drug testing. This court order has put my spouse on a slanderous war path. The order was made by the courts not Ms. Hochfeld. As the CO-PARENTING counselling was ordered with our daughters best interest in mind I believe Ms. Hochfeld's counselling to be effective and her recommendation equally reasonable. I take no offence to being tested. The court made the order with our infant child in mind and didn't need her recommendation to make the order.
