Horrendous. I've been a patient here for 2 years and the service has rapidly deteriorated over the last few months. The front desk does not answer calls-ever. On three separate occasions I have tried calling them and there is no response; their phone system either places you on hold for 10.5 minutes before disconnecting you or you are placed on an indefinite hold (today's was over 50 minutes before I gave up). I needed to reach the office regarding an urgent matter 2 weeks ago and eventually just drove to the office to speak with them in person because I couldn't reach anyone despite repeated calls to them all day. They recently sold/divested their infusion practice to a third party provider (Medix) and that has been its own ordeal; Medix cancelled my most recent infusion (which had been scheduled 4 weeks prior) with less than 24 hours notice because they hadn't received an updated pre-authorization from my insurance. After more than 15 calls to CNS, Medix, and my insurance company I was finally able to get an updated pre-authorization so I could receive my infusion. Each time I talked to CNS and Medix I was given conflicting information regarding the status and what needed to happen. It quickly became apparent that despite CNS and Medix knowing about this transition for months, they hadn't planned in advance to get updated pre-authorization forms from patients' insurers, which is baffling. There was also no communication to patients regarding the transition of infusion services. When I arrived at my (delayed) infusion after a 40 minute drive to the Biltmore location, the office was dark and the door was locked. I called CNS to understand why no one was there and what I should do and, as per usual, there was no answer despite repeated calls. I had to call Medix who had to escalate to their manager to call CNS' manager before someone finally came to the door at CNS and unlocked it so that I could get in for my infusion. As I walked back to the infusion room, I saw several CNS employees literally standing around a desk ignoring the ringing phone. To top it all off, the 7 day delay in my treatment caused a massive MS flare from which I am still recovering. I have nothing positive to say about CNS at this point and I highly recommend anyone considering them to find any other neurology practice instead. Note: The reason for my repeated attempts to reach their office today is to have my medical records faxed to a different neurology practice so that I can start receiving quality care as soon as possible.
