Frequently ate during appointments. Was easily distracted by her dog. Did not actively pay attention to me (asked inappropriate follow-up questions that only utilized key words from my previous statement). Frequently used my experiences to talk about her own experiences (this was the most unhelpful and insulting. It felt opportunistic and self-centered). Assigned her own narrative to my experience more than once on being queer and processing trauma more than once (one of those occassions was a racist microaggression). Says she is EMDR certified but read from the EMDR manual as we conducted our appointment (this felt very unprofessional and, frankly, disingenous and insensitive). She exacerbated certain traumas with her blatant disinterest in me and our sessions.
