Dr. Laura Darko, MD

The first time I met Dr. Darko I had just been told by another OB that I needed to decide quickly if I wanted to try for an induction or go straight to a c-section, but I didn’t feel like I had enough information to make that decision. Dr Darko happened to come into my room right at the beginning of her shift and she asked if I needed anything. I explained that I didn’t know enough to make this big decision and she explained to me all of the relevant factors and how they calculate the likelihood of a successful induction. It was incredibly informative and helped me make the right choice. 3.5 years later I sought out her expertise for another medical issue after seeing a handful of other doctors who dismissed my concerns repeatedly; Dr. Darko kept running tests until finally all that was left to do was order a CT. I’m so grateful for her diligence because the CT scan was the only test showed the source of my problem! It shouldn’t be rare to have a doctor pursue answers in order to help a patient, but it is. Dr. Darko is an amazing physician and compassionate person!
