Dr. Stevens had no integrity to her DO NO HARM oath when it came to me. In early Dec I got a sinus sinuplasty by her and all she cared about was the procedure and how well her procedure went. I was miserable immediately after the surgery but she told me at my follow up a week later how it looked so good and she put these gel things in my nose and I should be feeling better soon. Five days later not only was I not feeling better but one eye started bulging. I reported how I was still feeling miserable and about my eye to her office. Dr. Stevens reply was that she was not going to put me on antibiotics because she did not find anything concerning in my follow up appointment, and that all of this could just be side effects from the surgery or that I had a cold. I ended up going to the emergency room 11 days after the initial surgery. ALL of my sinus cavities where still completely inflamed in the CT. The ER nurse put me on antibiotics and a higher dosage of steroids because Dr. Stevens only gave me a 5 mg dosage of steroids after my surgery. I work a full time leadership job and I am working on my doctrine degree. I explained to Dr. Stevens and her staff twice that I was not having “mild discomfort” but was miserable. But how I was feeling was not a priority to her, in fact after I fired her she had the audacity to have her staff contact me “concerned” if I was going to follow-up with another ENT. They never asked me was I was feeling better just concerned about my after care regarding the procedure that Dr. Stevens was boastfully proud of. Dr. Stevens is another doctor who doesn’t take the care/concerns of her female African American patients seriously.
