Dr. Katherine N. Dejong, MD

I can't thank Katherine and her team enough for LISTENING to me. I came to her and her team after a bad ER visit earlier that week. I appreciated how quickly they were able to accommodate me, and the care I received was world's apart from what I had received at the ER. Not only did she help me confirm that I was misdiagnosed, but she explained my experience in detail with follow up material provided. She was reassuring, kind, and listened to every detail and concern from my story. Being a woman of color, there are many situations where I'm overlooked and go unheard, so it meant the world to me that this team took the time and showed up for me. Thank you all!

Provider did not acknowledge my spouse at all. My wife attends all my appointments and most of my providers introduce themselves to us both, ask her name, act friendly with her, etc. Dr. Dejong did not ever acknowledge her which was a bit off putting for me. She was running behind but even still I expect that when two people show up on a video call that they at least greet my wife. I appreciated Dr. Dejong's willingness to get my prescription issue resolved.

I really hope Swedish actually reads this comment because they need to know that KATHERINE N DEJONG is hands down one of the best clinicians I have encountered. I grew up with a physician parent so my expectations are perhaps high - and Dr. DEJONG just continues to impress me with her clinical skill, medical knowledge, and patient care. She exceeds all expectations, and I truly hope Swedish/Providence realizes how lucky they are to have her on staff.

Dr. Dejong is the best doctor I've encountered with the OBGYN team at Swedish and has renewed my confidence in the care this group can provide after a few less than stellar experiences over the past few years. She was extremely patient, empathetic, and explained things very clearly. I really felt heard by her and feel confident in her advice and care.

I really appreciate Dr. Dejong and am thankful to have her as my OB. She is very thorough, listens, and Is very caring. She takes any concern regarding my health seriously and does above and beyond to cover all bases. She has definitely put me at ease during this last trimester of pregnancy, and I feel I am in the best care here at Swedish.

Given the nature of the OB/GYN practice, my provider was definitely in a rush. It worked out OK nonetheless. Also, I asked the receptionist and then spoke with the nurse about getting an anti-anxiety med for the procedure. Both followed up the very same day, and I felt well taken care of..

She was amazing. I have PTSD and had a flashback and fainting episode during my procedure and Dr. Dejong (spelling?) immediately leapt into action and used ice packs and psychological grounding exercises to aid me. It was the easiest experience I've ever had in the OBGYN.

The pre-op portion of my care was amazing. I felt very cared for. I was so impressed. The post-op care felt less so. More rushed and didn't feel very thorough.

She was an amazing provider. Explained answers to my questions, took me seriously, gave great medical advice- I would highly recommend her!

My care provider is AMAZING but I am still waiting for her to sign my visit notes so I can actually read them.
