My experience with Judith Tota as my therapist at St. Vincent's Day Program in Westchester was extremely negative. Throughout the year I attended the day program, I found her to be condescending and spiteful. When I attempted to apply for Social Security Disability benefits due to my inability to work while attending the program, she actively tried to block my application by writing to D.S.S. and insisting that I would never return to work if I received disability benefits. However, her attempt was unsuccessful, and I was ultimately approved for disability benefits, allowing me to pursue a part-time job, earn my associate's degree, and work towards my Masters's degree in mental health counseling and art therapy. The disability insurance also paid the benefits while in school and for most of my schooling. Based on my personal experience with Judith Tota, I would not recommend her as a therapist.
