Went to see Dr. Dau for first time. Mainly wanted blood work for new symptoms of Sjogren's. He listened and asked questions, typing in to Mychart my answers. I asked for blood work as I wanted to see if my symptoms indicated anything new. He said ok and go ahead and gave me lab work paper. Got labs done. They came into my chart. I wrote a message saying I need to go over the results please call me. Then after 4 days, no one called so I called Dr. Dau's office and asked if he would go over the results because one of the tests concerned me. His office said that I would have to call my PCP for that. Why, I asked. He is the one who requested the labs. He said he just did it as a courtesy and that it wasn't required. What? So I called my PCP and they said why isn't Dr. Dau going over the results with you and I told them that he said it was a courtesy... My PCP said it shouldn't matter he was the one who ordered the labs and they are Rheumatology labs. Then I got a call from Dr. Dau's office the next day 6/14 Dr Dau would like to meet with you in person about your lab results. OK when? not until August. I said, You mean not until 2 months from now? Are you kidding me? Can I meet with him telehealth (video) instead maybe sooner? His office staff said He doesn't do video telehealth. I said, OK then listen up: there is 1 test that came back super high and I am very concerned, can he just look at that one lab result and let me know if I am going to need a medication for that or not? after 2 hrs still no call back. Then My PCP Dr. Wei Wang ( who is super) called and can meet with me via telehealth next week for lab review.
