I went to this clinic for the first time. Check-in was friendly. My last dental appointment was 8 months prior, in a different state and everything was fine. Dr. Benson saw me and as soon as i opened my mouth she audibly laughed at an old minor cosmetic issue with a tooth and the first thing she said to me was she asked if i was going to want that fixed. The Dr. did a quick exam and told me i'd need 6 teeth worked on. I was very surprised and told her 6 was way more than i was expecting. Her response was that I have 28 teeth so 6 really isn't that many. Then she left and didn't walk me through what needs to be fixed or how she proposed to do it. The Dr. had told me i had extremely clean teeth with no buildup at all. When i went to check out, the receptionist went through my care plan from the Dr. which was going to cost me about $3,000 out of pocket. She attempted to schedule me for a cleaning same day and said it would be $50 out of pocket. I asked why, since cleanings are covered. She stated the dr. has a laser bacteria treatment on the plan which is not covered by insurance. I asked her why the dr. put that on there when my teeth are so clean and she had no idea. I declined making another appointment and went to a different dentist.
