As a teaching professional I'm proactive about scheduling. I'm have two systems for keeping track of appointments. I made an appointment with Dr. McClelland over the phone for a February 1, a Thursday at 1220 pm. I had to cancel office hours that day to be able to go. When I got there, the receptionist said I had come on the wrong day at the wrong time. I should have been come on February 9, a Friday, at 1220 pm. I said "ok, I guess I had it wrong." The receptionist then called me back and said Dr. McClelland would not be available for the appointment on February 9 at 2:30 pm. I said, "wait, what? you told me it was at 1230 pm." She said I was wrong again. Then she said he couldn't see me at 230, but could I come in on Saturday the 10th. I decided not to pursue.
